IDB signs two-part loan for Bolivian transmission line

The IDB said on Thursday it will lend $78m to partially fund a 240km high voltage transmission line connecting the municipality of San Ignacio de Velasco with the Bolivian national grid. The multilateral said in a statement that the funds would come from its ordinary capital. The two-tranche loan will help prepare future network links from the municipality to San Matia, 300km away.
