Bolivia’s state-run Yacimientos de Litio Bolivianos (YLB) and German ACI Systems have struck an agreement to develop lithium capabilities throughout the salt flats of Uyuni in the South American nation.
According to company statement, the partnership includes forming a new company to extract lithium from Uyuni and to manufacture and market cathode material and battery systems from Bolivia to the international markets.
ACI will own a 49% stake in the new company while YLB remains the controlling
