Brazil's BNDES could return BRL50bn ($16bn) to the national treasury this year, Finance Minister Henrique Meirelles told journalists at an event organized by the Financial Times in New York.
"That's the initial plan, BRL50bn this year," Meirelles said. "We are discussing it with BNDES and we are going to see what the best decision [will be]."
