Odebrecht agrees to pay Panama fines

Odebrecht said it has agreed to pay $220m in fines to Panama and will also cooperate with investigators, which are probing bribes of Panamanian officials, the country’s attorney general said. The Brazilian construction firm’s fines include $100m for using Panama’s banking system for illicit activities, attorney general Kenia Porcell told a news conference.
