Jamaica launches tender offer, ponders new issue

Jamaica has launched a tender offer to buy back four series of existing notes and will likely follow this up with a new bond issue as early as next Tuesday. The Caribbean sovereign issuer is targeting its 8% 2019s, 8.5% 2021s, 11.625% 2022s and 9.25% 2025s, according to a statement from the central government. Jamaica has $187.7m outstanding in 2019s, $70.6m in 2021s and $250m leftover in 2022s and 2025s. The sovereign is offering noteholders $1,065 for every $1,000 tendered in 2019s, $1,140
