Moody's upgraded the Dominican Republic's issuer ratings to Ba3 from B1, citing a positive growth outlook and reduced fiscal deficits. The rating agency said the the Caribbean sovereign's growth outlook, coupled with the reduction of current account deficits and an increase in international reserves, were key drivers for the upgrade. Moody's also cited the sovereign issuer's reduction in fiscal deficits over the past four years.
