Altan Redes said it reached financial close on the Red Compartida wireless telecommunications PPP in Mexico with $2.3bn in funds.
Local development banks Banobras, Nafin and Bancomext provided a 14-year MXN13bn ($694m) loan, covering 30% of project costs and also supplied a liquidity line for up to MXN4.75bn, Altan said in a statement.
The sponsor, backed by Morgan Stanley, will invest $765m in equity, or 33% of the project costs, while China's Huawei and Finland’s Nokia will provide $850m in 10
