JBIC extends credit to Ecuador

The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) has arranged a loan to Ecuador for up to $50m, the first line of credit to the Andean nation under the bank's energy efficiency lending program. JBIC said it will provide $25m. The other half of loan will come from Mizuho, the Joyo Bank, the Hachijuni Bank and the Bank of Yokohama. Mizuho is the lead arranger.
