Brazil auctions more transmission lines


The Brazilian government has awarded contracts for 11 electricity transmission lines, requiring an estimated BRL8.7bn ($2.64bn) in investments. The average discount offered for the contracts was 40.5%, the electricity regulator Aneel said in a statement.
