South Korea, by way of its Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF), has dedicated $300m to the Korea Infrastructure Development Co-financing Facility for Latin America and the Caribbean, according to Matias Bendersky, Chief of Outreach and Partnerships at the IDB.
This co-financing fund, set up in 2015, will co-finance PPPs and infrastructure projects involving sovereign guarantees throughout Latin America.
The funds committed have not yet been earmarked for any specific project, but potent
