Binding offers for Duke Energy’s Latin American power assets will be submitted by the end of next week, LatinFinance understands. Five or six companies, including China Three Gorges, Iberdrola, Brookfield Asset Management and Chilean utility Colbun, are interested in the US energy company’s Latin American portfolio, said an M&A source familiar with the talks. Duke has 4,400 MW of capacity in assets in seven countries in the region and will likely split the sale into more than one transaction
