Banco Nacional taps dollar market with green bond

Banco Nacional de Costa Rica (BNCR) has sold a 5.78% $500m 2021 green bond on Wednesday, LatinFinance understands. The Costa Rican lender priced the bond at 99.68 with a 5.78% coupon to yield 5.95%. Dedicated green investors made up approximately 25% of the order book, which swelled to almost $500m, sources said. Joint bookrunners Bank of America-Merrill Lynch (BAML) and JPMorgan tightened the spread on the deal from initial price thoughts around 6.89%. Proceeds from the green bond, rated Ba1/BB
