SAAM buys Costa Rican terminals

Chile's SAAM said it has agreed to acquire control of two port terminal concessions at Puerto Caldera on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.The port operator will pay $48.5m to Colombia's Sociedad Portuaria Regional de Buenaventura (Sprbun) for 51% of Sociedad Portuaria de Caldera (SPC) and Sociedad Portuaria Granelera de Caldera (SPGC). The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.SPC and SPGC reported $46.6m in revenues in 2015, SAAM said.Costa Rica's Saret holds on to 21% of the concessions
