IFC to take Biosev stake


Brazilian agribusiness company Biosev has agreed a BRL128m ($47m) capital injection from the World Bank’s IFC, it said on Wednesday. Biosev is to increase its share capital by 6% through the transaction. The IFC will pick up any of the 12.8m shares not bought by existing shareholders. The control group — which owns 76.58% of the firm and is made up of subsidiaries of Louis Dreyfus Commodities — has assigned its subscription rights to the IFC.
