Local demand supports Energia Eolica green bond first

Strong demand from Peruvian pension funds allowed Bank of America-Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs to significantly tighten a $204m bond from Energia Eolica despite its small size, LatinFinance has heard. The wind farm operator sold a 6% $204m 2034 project bond on Monday, the first green bond sold by a LatAm issuer. The deal was priced to yield 6.25%, around 200bp wider than where the Peruvian sovereign curve was seen trading on Monday. The borrower roadshowed to Boston, Lima, Los Angeles, London
