IDB lends to state, municipal governments


The Inter-American Development Bank has agreed two lines of credit to Colombia and Brazil to fund state and municipal investment projects and improve efficiency in local governments. The multilateral will lend Colombia a conditional $600m line of credit for investment projects. The first part of the loan, $100m, has a 20-year tenor and a five-year grace period and is priced at a floating rate over Libor. The IDB has not given details regarding the rest of the loan.
