Energia Eolica debuts LatAm green bond structure

Peruvian windfarm operator Energia Eolica sold a 6% $204m 2034 project bond on Monday, thought to be the first green bond sold by a LatAm issuer. Bookrunners Bank of America-Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs priced the note at 98.344 to yield 6.25%. The yield was said to be 150bp inside the price at which Oaxaca II and Oaxaca IV were trading on Monday. Those 7.25% 2031 bonds, of $152m and $154m, were sold by Spain’s Acciona in 2012 to finance two windfarms in Mexico. The bookrunners had discussed
