Downgrades to Slow: Moody’s

Ratings have stabilized in the second half of 2009 for Latin American corporate issuers and there are fewer downgrades ahead, says Moody’s in a report. “Stronger fundamentals in regional economies, better access to capital and more favorable commodity prices support an end to the steep ratings decline,” according to the agency, which expects that corporates will benefit from higher capacity utilization and less competitive pressure.
