Brazil’s energy regulator Aneel has sold of 753MW worth of wind concessions in what it claims is the country’s first auction solely dedicated to wind concessions. The auction, held Monday, involves the allocation of 753 lots worth 1MW each at an average price of BRL148.39 per MW/hour. That level represents a 21.5% discount to the BRL189.00 per MW/hour maximum price established for the auction, says Aneel.
