EM bond funds continued to draw in cash in the week ended December 9, according to EPFR. The asset class attracted net inflows of $317.2m in the period, which left total AUM at $63.0bn. “Despite the uncertainty generated by Dubai World’s troubles and a full pipeline of new issues that includes offerings from Senegal and Venezuela, the spread between UST and JPMorgan’s benchmark EMBI+ index remains around 320bp, and investors continue to commit fresh cash to EM bond funds,” say EPFR analysts.
