Between today and next Monday, four Brazilian equity deals worth up to $4bn are slated to price, marking a grand close to a big LatAm equity year. Despite general disappointment with the Fed’s 25bp rate cut Tuesday, bankers running deals say enthusiasm is strong for the larger more liquid deals. MPX Energia, a power generation company run by Eike Batista, is up first with an IPO pricing today of 1.9m shares at BRL935-BRL1,111. After a greenshoe, it could yield the company $1.28bn equivalent.
