LF: What has been your greatest achievement in office to date?
Humala: In 18 months, I do not yet have a finished painting. This is like an oil painting that will be done in 2016. I am still putting the outlines on the canvass to start filling in details.
Over the past 18 months, we have embarked on a number of reforms: tax reform; civil service reform – very important for the transformation the country’s public administration; military and police reform; education reform; reform of illegal/informal mining and we are monitoring this to formalize it, because it is important to our economy.
