For the third straight year, Banco General takes the top spot in the highly competitive banking sector in Panama, Central America’s booming services-based economy. With Panama’s economy barely hiccupping during the global downturn and again flirting with double-digit growth in 2011, staying on top of the heap is a challenge – especially with major international banks and strong local players numbering in the dozens in Central America’s star economy.
