by Taina Rosa LatAm M&A has extended its boom despite the global credit crunch that makes it almost impossible for acquirers to get financing. In fact, according to Dealogic, transactions completed as of November 17 added up to almost $119 billion, or 1,121 deals. Not bad at all, considering that as of the same date last year, volume was $110 billion from 1,184 deals. Next year, M&A faces the same credit challenges, but as of mid-November, more than $14 billion in deals were expected to close within the first three months, according to Dealogic.
