Cricket is the national sport of the English-speaking Caribbean, but in the past hard times have prevented governments from investing more money in stadiums or their teams. However, that's about to change with the advent of the 2007 Cricket World Cup, which will be played in stadiums in eight Caribbean countries and which is expected to bring in more than 100,000 fans from cricketing nations such as England, India, Australia and South Africa.
