The IDB this week moved a step closer to hitting its $18.5bn target in the capital markets this year, tapping Australia's Kangaroo bond market with a 15-year 3.29% AUD55m ($42m) trade. Laura Fan, the head of funding at the multilateral institution said the IDB opted for the Kangaroo market in a bid to diversify currencies and reach a different investor base. The trade marked an important step for the IDB to reach its funding targets for the year, Fan said.
