Brazil's BNDES approved financing for electricity transmission line concessions in 2017, offering to provide loans for up to 80% of investments.
The national development bank will supply funding for as long as 20 years at 170bp over the TJLP long-term lending rate, plus up to another 337bp, depending on the credit risk of the borrower. The TJLP now stands at 7% per year.
