Ebrasil, Golar seek IIC financing

Ebrasil Energia and Golar Power have approached the IIC for $238m in loans to fund construction of a gas-fired power plant in northeastern Brazil. The IIC, part of the IDB Group, said it will provide long-term financing in Brazilian reais, which is not available in the market, and also funding in dollars.
