Carrefour could conduct an IPO of its Brazilian subsidiary as early as the second half of the year, sources told LatinFinance.
The French retailer is studying a likely spinoff with the bookrunners Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, Itau BBA and JPMorgan, one banker said. Carrefour is understood to have approached the banks last month about a possible IPO.
