Abraaj Group has announced an investment into an 111 MW natural gas-fired power plant in Mexico, according to a statement from the Dubai-based firm.
The company will invest into the construction of the first phase of a planned 500 MW facility. This includes debt raised from local development banks Banobras and Nafin, complementing equity injections from Abraaj and Emerging America, a Mexican firm partnering with Abraaj for the project.
