Peru rules out new dollar bonds

Peru will continue focusing on the local bond market and reducing its proportion of foreign currency debt, a finance ministry official said after Moody’s upgraded the sovereign by two notches last week. Peru filed a shelf registration with the SEC last month to issue up to $4.5bn of bonds in dollars or other currencies.
