Mexican instruments were the most frequently traded EM local market bonds in the first quarter, according to EMTA’s debt trading survey. Some $225bn worth of Mexican local bonds were traded, outstripping trading in Brazil’s local market ($91bn) and markets in other parts of the world such as India ($98bn) and South Africa ($55bn).
