Itau loan gets $1.7bn commitments

Brazil’s Banco Itau has received $1.7bn in commitments for its three-year loan, LatinFinance understands. The lender had been heard to be looking to increase the size of the $1bn transaction past last year’s $1.5bn jumbo deal. The loan is understood to pay 135bp over Libor and is in documentation stages. It is expected to close next week. Bank of America-Merrill Lynch, BNP Paribas, Citi, HSBC and JPMorgan are heard to be lead arrangers, joint bookrunners and coordinators. Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubish
