Macquarie Mexico fund launches towers JV

Macquarie Mexican Infrastructure Fund has formed a joint venture with Digital Bridge to manage 550 cell towers in Mexico. The joint venture, Mexico Tower Partners, is a 50-50 enterprise between the two partners, which have provided an undisclosed amount of initial funding. The firm will use operating cash flows and debt and equity from the partners for growth capital. MMIF entered the tower business in 2011, when it and Global Tower Partners bought close to 200 towers.
