Chile focuses on inflation over growth in policy decision

Chile’s central bank maintained rates at 4% in its monthly policy meeting on Thursday, sticking to its dovish tone of previous statements, and mentioning “the possibility of additional rate cuts”. Nevertheless, it said these cuts would be made “according to changes to internal and external macroeconomic conditions and their implications on the inflationary outlook”.
