Argentina on Tuesday filed a petition with the US Supreme Court to review decisions made in lower courts regarding its debt restructuring. It called for a review of New York courts’ interpretation of pari passu clauses. US courts have ruled that in addition to servicing debt exchanged in 2005 and 2010 offers, the sovereign must also pay the so-called holdouts under the pari passu clause in its contracts.
