IFC injects $170m into CorpBanca Colombia


The IFC has agreed to subscribe a $170m subordinated bond sold by CorpBanca Colombia. The 10-year floating rate note is the first investment in Colombia by the IFC’s capitalization fund. The IFC, which bought 5% of CorpBanca Chile in February 2013 for $227.5m, considers the lender a “strategic partner” in Latin America.
