Investors holding about $149m, or 49.7%, of AES El Salvador’s 6.75% 2016 bonds have accepted an exchange offer as of last week’s early deadline, the power company says. The issuing entity for four AES-owned electricity distribution companies offered holders $1,005.00 per $1,000.00 principal before the March 27 early deadline and $975.00 through April 11.
