Andrea Mangoni, Telecom Italia’s managing director for South America who resigned as CEO of its TIM Participacoes unit earlier this month, plans to leave the company entirely April 30, Telecom Italia says. Mangoni has been with Telecom Italia since 2009. He steps down from TIM March 4, to be replaced by Rodrigo Abreu. Mangoni had been CEO of TIM since May 2012, when Luca Luciani resigned amid a scandal over the use of irregular SIM cards at the Italian parent.
