CPFL Energias Renovaveis is planning to take advantage of Brazil’s infrastructure debenture legislation to raise funds for its EOL Atlantica V wind energy unit, according to government documents. The energy an mines ministry is in the process of approving the use of proceeds under the legislation. No other details were available. The 120 megawatt project is under construction in Palmares do Sul in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, and also counts on World Bank funding.
