Mexico Blocks Televisa Deal with Iusacell

Mexican regulators have decided against approving multimedia company Televisa’s purchase of a 50% stake in wireless provider Iusacell, in a deal valued at $1.6bn. The companies reached an agreement in April 2011 as a way to give Televisa access to the mobile industry and strengthen Iusacell’s business.
