Chile’s central bank has chosen to hold rates at 5.0% at its monetary policy meeting Tuesday. The central bank points to ongoing considerations in Europe and the US as among the factors in its decision. “The central bank is unlikely to shift its neutral tone. We expect the policy rate to remain at 5.0% for the remainder of the year and throughout the next,” Itau says in a report.
