Mexico’s and Colombia’s central banks are each set to meet today, amid conversations on both fronts seeing holds as likely. Mexico’s policy rate has been on hold at 4.50% since July 2009. Colombia, meanwhile, held its benchmark rate at 4.75% last month, with some shops expecting another 25bp cut before the end of the year. In forecasting a hold today, Bolsa y Renta notes a decrease in analyst expectations of another cut this year.
