RBS confirms it is in talks to sell its business in Argentina as part of a strategic plan announced last year. The business, which RBS bought from ABN AMRO in 2007, is not large, comprising mainly of investment banking, according to the local bank association. Financial reports show that as of March 31, it had ARP1.0bn ($255m) in assets. Press rumors say RBS is in talks with Argentine bank Comafi. A Comafi spokesman declines comment, other than to say he is aware of the rumor. Comafi has ARP3.7b
