Conduit Capital, a LatAm-focused private equity shop, has bought a 50% stake in privately-owned Brazilian hydroelectric developer GLEP Energias Renovaveis. The value was not disclosed, but Conduit chairman Scott Swensen tells LatinFinance the purchase was north of $50m and should be the first of several in the coming months. “The market has changed in the last few weeks. There is a lack of bank financing. We’ve met with several other developers who are building and are in need of funds,” he says
