Mexican states and municipalities are increasingly embracing the private sector as they seek to finance their operations and the development of their infrastructure. In addition to the several examples of successful PPS projects and the benchmark Edomex bond issue, only in recent weeks we have seen a MXP2bn ABS issue by Mexico City and a MXP4.3bn securitization of Mexican property titles.
Sub-sovereigns’ access to private finance is however often constrained by operational and financial performance and a lack of information on credit quality. And, though new and effective products and structures exist, the practicalities of implementation at the varied and complex sub-sovereign level are often unfamiliar. Infrastructure and Sub-Sovereign Finance in Mexico Summit is specifically designed to explore and examine the opportunities and challenges (and solutions) inherent in financing in these markets.
This seminar will again enable public-sector officials, financiers, sponsors, investors, concessionaires, operators and EPCs to engage in up-to-the-minute analysis of the nuances of this rapidly growing & evolving segment, and the financing and investment opportunities it presents.
With a bottom-up agenda of 1-1 Meetings, presentations and practical workshops, state-level government representatives will outline their budget requirements, planned infrastructure projects, how they plan to meet them, and where and how the private sector might be involved. Leading financiers and advisers will explain new structures and financing options including securitization, PPS, and the refinancing of operational infrastructure assets.
Registration is free of charge for Secretaries of Finance and other qualified senior-level government officials. All others are welcome to register with registration fee.
