Brazil’s CVM Chief Says New Sectors, Tenors Ahead for Infra Bonds

Ports and energy companies could soon join a growing market for infrastructure bonds which has been driven to date by toll roads, Ana Novaes, commissioner at Brazil’s Comissao de Valores Mobiliarios (CVM), tells LatinFinance. Companies will be able to sell infrastructure bonds to refinance debt and, ultimately, finance greenfield projects, she predicts.
