People: Codelco finds CFO

Iván Arriagada becomes chief financial officer of Chile’s Codelco, the state-owned mining firm, on November 19. He joins from BHP Billiton, where he had worked since 2005. Codelco had been looking for a replacement for Thomas Keller, who had been promoted to chief executive, since June.

Ernesto Gutiérrez is stepping down as Aeropuertos Argentina 2000’s chief executive to work with Aeropuertos Argentina’s controller, Corporación América. Fernando Peláez, who replaces him, moves from sister company UnitecBio. Máximo Bomchil becomes president, while Gutiérrez will work with Aeropuertos Argentina’s controller, Corporación América.

Dan Conrado has been named chairman of Brazil’s Vale, with Ricardo Flores moving on to work as chief executive of Brasilprev Seguros e Previdência. Flores had been chair of the Brazilian miner since 2010. Conrado is president of pension fund Previ....
