LDC Clinches Santelisa Purchase, Eyes IPO

Louis Dreyfus Commodities (LDC) has completed its acquisition of SantelisaVale (SEV) following more than 9 months of discussions to form what it claims is Brazil’s second largest sugarcane crusher. As part of the agreement, the new company, LDC SEV, will do an IPO within 3 years, with an option to extend that period by another 2 years, say people on the deal.
