Nicolás Aguzín, head of mergers and acquisitions in Latin America for JP Morgan, has seen the M&A business in Latin America come full circle. When he began working as an investment banker in the late 1980s, multinational companies and global banks were beginning to look at opportunities in Latin America. By the mid 1990s, M&A activity had reached full throttle, with multinationals gobbling up Latin American companies at a furious pace.
